About This Game
Pokémon Legends Z-A is an action role-playing game set entirely in Lumiose City, a large city being rebuilt under an urban redevelopment plan. You play as a visiting trainer who explores the city’s streets, rooftops and wild zones, catches wild Pokémon living inside the city, and takes part in the Z-A Royale, a ranking competition where trainers battle to rise from Rank Z to Rank A.
Battles run in real time, so the trainer and Pokémon move together during a fight and the timing and position of each attack matter. Wild zones scattered across the city hold wild Pokémon that can be battled or caught, and Mega Evolution returns for certain Pokémon during battles. A day and night cycle changes what appears in the city, and at night special battle zones open for the Z-A Royale, alongside side missions, shops and outfit options across the districts.
