About This Game
Fire Emblem Warriors is an action game from Nintendo, released on October 20, 2017. Players control Rowan and Lianna, twin royals of the kingdom of Aytolis, after an attack tears open portals to other worlds. Heroes from those worlds join the twins on a journey to gather the Gleamstones and seal the portals before the Chaos Dragon Velezark can be revived.
Combat is built around fighting through large enemy armies with a single hero, using the series weapon triangle where swords beat axes, axes beat lances and lances beat swords. Players can switch between up to four deployed heroes during a battle, pair two heroes together for combined special attacks, and unlock bond conversations as relationships grow. A Classic mode with permanent defeat and a Casual mode are both included, along with History Mode maps that recreate battles from earlier games in the series.
