About This Game
Sonic X Shadow Generations is a platformer that brings together two complete adventures in one package. Released in October 2024, it pairs a remaster of Sonic Generations with an entirely new campaign starring Shadow the Hedgehog, giving both characters their own story paths through stages drawn from across the series’ history.
In the Sonic campaign, Classic and Modern Sonic team up after the Time Eater scatters their friends through time, mixing classic 2D side-scrolling with fast 3D stages. The Shadow campaign follows Shadow as he confronts Black Doom once again, using new Doom Powers such as Doom Spear, Doom Surf, and Doom Wing to traverse evolving stages. Between levels, an explorable hub connects the challenges, boss fights, and collectibles spread across both campaigns.
