About This Game
Hades is a roguelike action game for Nintendo Switch, released on September 17, 2020. You play as Zagreus, the prince of the Underworld, who defies his father Hades and fights his way toward the surface to find his mother. Each escape attempt takes you through the shifting chambers of Tartarus, Asphodel, and Elysium, guarded by shades and bosses that change from run to run.
On every run, the gods of Olympus offer boons that power up your attacks, dash, and special moves, and you fight with one of six Infernal Arms, from the Stygian Blade to the Adamant Rail. Death sends you back to the House of Hades, where the story continues through conversations with its residents, and resources you collected buy permanent upgrades at the Mirror of Night, making each new attempt stronger than the last.
