About This Game
Once Upon a Katamari is a puzzle action game for Nintendo Switch, released on October 24, 2025. It is the first new entry in the Katamari series in fourteen years. While playing with a strange scroll, the King of All Cosmos accidentally destroys the Earth, the Moon, and the stars, and sends the Prince traveling through time to rebuild the sky by rolling a katamari.
You roll the sticky ball through eras like the Jurassic Period, the Ice Age, and historic Japan, starting with small objects and growing until animals, people, and whole buildings stick to it. New tools such as the magnet pull nearby objects in, and you can play as the Prince or one of 68 cousins, each customizable with different colors and faces. The new KatamariBall mode lets four players compete online or against the computer to roll the biggest katamari and trade it in for points.
