About This Game
Final Fantasy Resonance is a turn-based role-playing game for the Nintendo Switch, releasing in October 2026. The first Final Fantasy title presented in HD-2D, it adapts a classic mobile adventure into a full console RPG. Players follow Rain, commander of an airship squadron in the kingdom of Grandshelt, who sets out to protect the world’s remaining crystals after the Earth Crystal is shattered.
Combat is traditional turn-based with a turn-order timeline, built around staggering enemies by exploiting weaknesses to earn extra turns and unleash powerful Resonance attacks. Players can also summon Visions, crystallized essences of iconic Final Fantasy heroes such as Cloud, Tidus, and the Warrior of Light, each granting new abilities in battle. The journey spans a crystal-driven world filled with chocobos, espers, and airships, rendered in retro-inspired pixel art blended with modern visual effects.
