The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is an action-adventure game released for the Nintendo Switch on September 20, 2019. It is a remake of the original 1993 Game Boy adventure, following Link after a storm leaves him stranded on the mysterious Koholint Island. To escape, he must awaken the legendary Wind Fish by collecting eight magical instruments scattered across the island.
Gameplay combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and dungeon crawling with classic Zelda combat. Players can discover hidden caves, collect powerful equipment, and battle challenging bosses while uncovering the island’s unusual secrets. The remake introduces colorful toy-like visuals, updated controls, and a new Chamber Dungeon mode where players can create and complete custom dungeon challenges. With its charming presentation, memorable characters, and engaging adventure, Link’s Awakening offers a nostalgic experience with modern improvements.
