About This Game
FIFA 18 is a football simulation game for the Nintendo Switch, released in September 2017. It features licensed clubs, leagues, and players from around the world, with matches played in stadiums modeled on their real counterparts. The Switch version was built on a custom engine designed for the hardware rather than sharing the engine used on other consoles.
The game includes several modes built around different ways to play. Ultimate Team lets players build squads from player cards and compete in online and offline matches, while Career Mode covers full seasons as a manager or a single player. The Journey returns for a second season, following Alex Hunter through a story-driven campaign. On Switch, matches support local multiplayer with split Joy-Con controllers, and the portable and tabletop modes allow full matches away from the TV.
