About This Game
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Legacy Edition is a cooperative action role-playing game set in Middle-earth during the War of the Ring. While Frodo and Sam journey toward Mount Doom, a new fellowship of three heroes travels north to confront Agandaûr, a servant of Sauron raising an army in the ruins of Fornost.
Players take on the roles of Eradan the Ranger, Andriel the Elven loremaster, and Farin the Dwarven champion, each with distinct abilities and skill trees, switching between them freely or teaming up in three-player online and split-screen co-op. Combat blends brutal melee, ranged attacks, and magic with loot and character progression across locations like Fornost and Mount Gundabad. The Legacy Edition modernizes the 2011 original with refined enemy lock-on, autosaving, an overhauled interface, and 60fps support on capable platforms.
