About This Game
Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are role-playing games for the Game Boy Advance, released in 2004. Remakes of the original Kanto adventures, they follow a young trainer from Pallet Town collecting Gym Badges across the region. The goal is to defeat the Elite Four while completing the Pokedex with the original 151 Pokemon.
Battles use the classic turn-based system where type matchups decide each exchange, and wild Pokemon can be weakened and caught to grow the team. The remakes add the Sevii Islands, a post-game archipelago with new areas and legendary encounters, along with the VS Seeker for rematching trainers. Trading and battling with other players work through the link cable and wireless adapter, and updated visuals and a contextual help system modernize the journey.
