About This Game
Super Mario RPG is a role-playing game and a full remake of the 1996 classic, released on the Nintendo Switch in November 2023. When the villainous Smithy Gang invades the Mushroom Kingdom and shatters the Star Road, Mario sets out to recover the seven Star Pieces so that wishes can once again come true.
Combat is turn-based, with timed button presses that boost attacks and reduce incoming damage, and the party grows to include Bowser, Peach, and original characters Mallow and Geno. Between battles, players explore towns, solve light puzzles, and hunt for hidden treasures across varied regions. The remake rebuilds the original with modern 3D visuals and a fully rearranged soundtrack, while keeping the humor and charm of the story intact.
