About This Game
Resident Evil 5 is a survival horror action game that follows BSAA agents Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar to the African region of Kijuju, where a new bioterrorism outbreak is turning locals into violent, parasite-controlled enemies. The fifth main entry in the series shifts the focus toward fast-paced action while keeping the series’ tense atmosphere and resource scarcity at its core.
The game is built around cooperative play, with Sheva fighting alongside Chris as either an AI partner or a second player online, sharing ammo and healing items to survive. Combat uses an over-the-shoulder perspective with a real-time inventory system that forces quick decisions in the middle of firefights, and weapons can be upgraded between chapters. Extra modes like the Mercenaries minigame add timed score-attack challenges beyond the main campaign.
