About This Game
Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon Classic HD is a roguelike role-playing game, released on September 9, 2026. It is an HD remaster of the 1993 classic that started the Mystery Dungeon series, and it follows Torneko, the merchant from Dragon Quest IV, who climbs into ever-changing dungeons to gather treasure for his shop and build it into the most famous store in the kingdom.
Every floor of the dungeon is generated fresh, and every step counts, because monsters only move when Torneko moves, which turns each run into a puzzle of positioning, hunger and limited inventory space. Treasure carried out can be sold in the shop or stored safely for later runs, while falling inside the dungeon means losing everything being carried. Bread, scrolls, staves and rings found along the way start out unidentified, so learning what each item does is part of the challenge.
