Fire Emblem Engage is a tactical role-playing game released for the Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023. It follows Alear, a Divine Dragon who awakens after a thousand years to discover that the Fell Dragon Sombron threatens the continent of Elyos. Alongside allies from different kingdoms, Alear must collect the Emblem Rings and prevent the return of an ancient evil.
Gameplay revolves around turn-based battles on grid-based maps, where positioning, weapon types, and character abilities determine victory. The Emblem Rings allow characters to summon legendary heroes from previous Fire Emblem games and use powerful Engage attacks. Players can develop relationships between characters, improve their equipment, and prepare for increasingly difficult encounters.
